Insurance Information

Did you know that most health insurances have benefits that give you an opportunity to see a registered dietitian? Do you have diabetes or kidney disease? Do you want someone to help you plan and set health goals? We can help with that!

Where do I begin?

1. Contact your insurance company to ask if your policy covers medical nutrition therapy by a registered dietitian for your diagnosis or health concern.  If Julie is in-network with your insurance, she can verify coverage for you.

2. Julie is in-network with some medical insurance plans.  Insurances accepted: Medicare, United Healthcare, and more to come.

3. If your insurance plan covers nutrition counseling, but Julie is out-of-network, she is happy to assist you with reimbursement for nutrition appointments by submitting a claim to your insurance provider; however payment is due at the time of service.  Health Savings Account (HSA) credit/debit cards are accepted for payment in addition to other major credit cards and cash.

4. Insurance coverage for nutrition counseling must be verified before the day of your first appointment to ensure your plan’s benefits cover services.
